Elevations Dance Arts
Elevations Dance Arts (EDA) was created to foster the love of all dance forms by providing access to professionals in the dance industry. These dance educators provide students with skills for superior technique while using proper terminology combined with dance history. Performance opportunities are key in developing a dancer’s artistic talents. In addition to our annual Show and Holiday Show, each student is given the opportunity to participate in the International Dance Acclaim Performance Awards as well as become members of Elevations Studio Company.
EDA joined More Than Just Great Dancing™ in 2019, an organization of 300 studios internationally who all believe in building strong bodies, minds and hearts through expansion of programs, developing leaders and having a positive impact on our communities. We are proud to be a Safer Studio™ and Tech Enabled Studio™.
International Dance Acclaim Performance Awards
This program accelerates students’ training through a series of choreographed exercises and dances specifically designed for technique, enhance performance quality, and increase stamina in addition to providing performance opportunities. The specially arranged and composed music is unique to this program and provides further training in musicality and artistry. IDA’s exercises and dances improve dancers’ skills and focuses their drive, motivating them to strive for excellence. This in turn encourages a greater work ethic and increased self-confidence.
Elevations Studio Company
Elevations Studio Company (ESC) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit pre-professional youth company. Our mission is to educate members in all aspects of the dance world through work with professionals involved in the industry and an exploration of new and creative movement. Members will gain a passion and appreciation for a dancers life after graduation, as well as help engage and support their community. There are three levels for this performance group to help each member grow at an individual rate. Acceptance to this program is by audition only.
ESC is proud to be a member of Regional Dance America, Mid-States (RDA), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is elevating the future of dance in America – giving dancers experience and directors perspective. Through the annual adjudication process, regional and national festivals, and the National Choreography Intensive, RDA inspires a community of excellence in dance education and performance. RDA membership not only provides exceptional dance opportunities through classes with nationally and internationally known instructors and choreographers, but provides scholarships as well as exposure to talent scouts who attend their festivals and performances.
